Top 10 Places to See in Wales
Wales offers the first-time visitors many lovely places of interest to explore. Here is my top 10 must-see list:
1) Brecon Beacons National Park -- This national park covers the loveliest parts of Wales. It's a hiker's paradise, bordered by two Black Mountains.
2) Hafod Estate & Devil's Bridge -- It's located only 12 miles from the town of Aberystwyth.
3) St. Govan's Chapel -- It's a 13th-century chapel, built into the side of a limestone cliff.
4) Wales by Rail -- Over 10 railway lines travel by major and popular landmarks, including seaside towns, mountains, and castles.
5) Anglesey -- Is divided from Wales by one mile wide of the Menai Strait. The isle of Anglesey supports a few old-fashioned fishing villages that spans over 100 miles of beautiful coastline.
6) Caernarfan Castle -- King Edward 1 built this castle back in the 13th-century as a stable seat for the first prince of Wales. It's one of the biggest castles in England.
7) Pembrokeshire Coast -- Wales is blessed with a beautiful coastline; you may explore by foot and find villages along the way.
8) Partmeirion -- Is a fine hotel resort, located on the coast of Snowdonia.
9) Bodnant Garden -- It's a National Trust property and a very lovely garden, cultivated over several years by the McLaren family. Highlights include the grand formal terraces and the famous Laburnum Arch.
10) Pontcysyllte Aqueduct & Llangollen Canal -- It took 10 years to plan and create the aqueduct , which carries the Llangollen canal through the broad valley of the River Dee.
Of course, there are more attractions to consider visiting. These are just my personal favorites.
